USQuail's Coturnix 123 Feed System. Our Coturnix1 feed has %32 protein, and is non medicated as medicated feed may be cheaper to introduce prophylactic disease prevention into a commercial feed manufacturer's blend, it hase been proven that introducing medicament too early can decrease the quail's natural immunity.  It is best to introduce Anti-coccidiosis medicine after week 1, after the natural immunity from the eggs albumin (think human cholostrum and breast fed children) starts to wane.  This is why we recommend avoiding medicated feeds and prefer to add a unit dose regimen to the chicks water during week 2 for optimal protection.  Read our article on Medicated feed myths.  Cotrunix2 Grower has a higher protein than most any commercially available feed brands in America, and as always it is non-GMO.  Coturnix3 is USQuail's specially formulated non-GMO Breeder/Layer.  It is unique in that unlilke other Layer feeds which provide "plant based" calcium in the manufacturing of the feed crumble, we use a crushed mineral based calcium.  This allows for "selective feeding" of the hen and rooster, each selecting the amount of calcium they crave as their body demands.  This is more expensive to manufacture, but the benefits of have both a breeder feed and a rooster safe layer feed in one product save you %50 on your feed bill.  We would like to bring this product line to Amazon, but presently we are only offering this through individual USQC members.  Search Keyword "Coturnix123" on USQuailCoop.com to find a business in your state that offers our superiour product... We may be the only Coturnix specific quail feed in the country... We at least like to think our formula, Imported from an elderly Japanese Coturnix quil farmer from Japan is the best.  They Grow So Fast, US Feed often doesn't have the protein needed as most are formulated for Bobwhite quial... an entirely different species.
